The "Lunar cruiser" is the Japanese version of the caravan car for astronauts that can operate on the moon. That caravan car is an interesting solution because its operational area would be on the moon. And it offers a resting place for astronauts.
So Lunar cruiser is a high-tech moving moonbase. There is a possibility that the Japanese space agency or at least Toyota company also wants to introduce technology. That is also suitable for Mars. The nuclear-power versions of those systems can carry more powerful computers than smaller systems.
And those systems can be equipped with highly advanced artificial intelligence. That allows them to operate in unmanned missions away in the solar system. Or otherwise, those systems can operate on planet Mercury. On Earth, those systems can offer safe evacuation and safe moving houses for the cases of nuclear disasters.
During nuclear accidents, electromagnetic radiation causes problems in controlling unmanned vehicles. That radiation can deny the control signal between robots and their operators.
The operators can sit in those vehicles and operate by using remote-control robots. Those robots can use optical fiber for communication between command units. That thing minimizes the errors that ionizing radiation causes.
In those models, the miniature drone can take optic fiber to the robot and connect it with the command vehicle. The miniature drone can also act as a relay station. The laser sends the command signal to the drone that forwards it. The drone can also connect the electric wire to those robots. The system can also use laser communication. But the problem is that there must be a line of sight between robot and vehicle.
The moon shuttle can equip with wheels. Or they can act like space hovercraft.
There is a possibility that those moving moon stations are traveling as pairs. If another vehicle faces an accident. The other can save the crew. In some visions, the engineers introduced the lunar hovercraft as a solution that can operate on the moon.
In that system, there are small rockets under the train or chamber. The solution is similar to hovercraft. Except, small rocket engines are keeping that system hovering. That system can have the main engines for traveling between Earth and Moon.
And the rocket engines in the bottom of that system push it hovering. Or otherwise, those engines can raise the space hovercraft to the Moon orbiter. In some other versions, that thing has the wheels. But if the core of the moon collapses. The rockets are denying the shuttle to drop into the hole.
But the Lunar cruiser has many possible uses on Earth.
Similar technology can use for underwater systems. That is moving to the bottom of the sea. The difference between those systems and traditional submarines is that they can travel by using wheels. The idea is that those underwater cars can operate in straight bottom contact.
Those systems can also operate as laboratories. And they can have propellers that make them wheeled submarines.
In some visions, those "underwater cars" can equip with torpedoes that they can use against regular submarines. Those torpedoes would shoot to the stomach of the ship or submarine that travels over them.
